From September 3 to 9, 2023, over 400 current and former pararescuemen (known as PJs) and enthusiastic spectators will gather in Louisville, Kentucky, for this biennial event. Hosted by the 123rd ANG Airlift Wing, the PJ Rodeo is an exciting opportunity for active-duty, reserve, and retired PJs to come together and compete in intense two-person team challenges, vying for the prestigious title of “Best PJ.”
PJs are elite combat forces within the Department of Defense, specializing in comprehensive personnel recovery operations across diverse environments. Their exceptional skills and unwavering dedication make them true heroes.
Alongside the exciting PJ Rodeo competitions, the week-long event will also feature PJ reunion events that foster camaraderie and celebration among these exceptional individuals.
